Have you been with us the last two weeks consistently? This is what has turned into part 3 of a storyline. You never know where vulnerability is going to take you…and here we are. 

If you missed the last two - you're welcome to go back a couple weeks to catch up, and if not that's ok too.  Either way, I hope you are left with something that inspires and carry's you forward into your next weeks adventures that life delivers to you.

What happened next may shock you… 

Results of my annual MRI, I got some news that led me on my next spiritual journey… they found a re-occurring pituitary brain tumor. 

The doctors recommended surgery and inside I KNEW that was not the next step for me. With the love and grace of my newlywed husband and my parents they all stood behind me when I expressed, “I don't want another surgery, can I take some time here because I FEEL STRONGLY there is another way!”

I didn't even know what that meant. But I knew deeply that surgery was not the NEXT RIGHT STEP FOR ME. I'm forever grateful I listened. Even more grateful for the empathy, grace and compassion my people showed for me when my request was potentially a dangerous one.

Well, I share this because it's really the only way to explain what I was feeling… “Do you always trust your FIRST INITIAL FEELING!?” It was my heart, my INNER GUIDANCE SYSTEM asking to be heard! There it was, the power of the pause showing up for me again! …I listened. 

I took a year and embarked on what I now see as a spiritual journey. I dove into inner healing, the knowing that dis-ease starts from deep within. I leaned into a book that was recommended to me “You Can Heal Your Life” by Louise L Hay. 

AND I prayed. ALOT! I spoke to my Grandpa Frank daily, who had passed away when I was nine, he showed up for me and when I stayed curious and listened I could hear him guiding me as I navigated some part of me that needed to be heard. So many beautiful experiences took place that year and this work has stayed with me to this day. 

…a year later the MRI showed that the tumor was no longer there. It was completely gone. I had healed myself of this brain tumor AND I KNEW WHAT HAD HAPPENED was profound and beautiful. The doctors didn't understand it and I had many, maaaaaaany MRI's after that to ensure it was accurate. There was no discussion with the surgeon to explain my journey within, we just shrugged our shoulders in relief and pure joy.  

ALONG WITH A PROFOUND DEEP GRATITUDE FOR EACH EXPERIENCE LIFE DELIVERS US, no matter how challenging. Let me share some of the points of philosophy by Louise L. Hay that has served me well through my life: 

We are each responsible for all of our experiences.

Every thought we think is creating our future.

The point of power is always in the present moment.

Everyone suffers from self hatred and guilt.

The bottom line for everyone is “I'm not good enough”

We create every so-called illness in the body.

Resentment, criticism and guilt are the most damaging patterns.

Releasing resentment will dissolve any disease.

We must be willing to begin to learn to love ourselves.

Self approval and self acceptance in the now are the keys to positive changes.

When we really love ourselves, everything in our life works.
