Change is good…isn’t it? Version 2

Wooooeeeee we hit an important subject with the concept of CHANGE from a few weeks ago here at Wednesday Wisdom. We got a bucket load of feedback on the topic, so I thought we should talk about it from a new angel, so let's call this change; version two. 

 

What to do when you feel OPPOSED TO CHANGE? No judgment here. Just be where you are with it and let's CREATE value from a different lens. 

 

Being adverse to change CAN make it challenging to stimulate or accept change because it can lead to a mindset of fear, anxiety, and a belief that there are limited resources or opportunities available. 

However, here are some ways to stimulate change despite an adverse mentality:

1. Focus on what you can control: When you feel like there's not enough, it's essential to focus on what you can control. Identify the areas where you have the power to create change and focus your energy there.

2. Take small steps: Change doesn't have to happen overnight. Instead, focus on taking small steps towards your goals. This can help you build momentum and create a sense of progress.

3. Look for opportunities: An adverse (or scarcity) mentality can make it easy to overlook opportunities. Instead, STAY CURIOUS and focus on looking for potential opportunities that may exist, even if they are not immediately apparent.

4. Collaborate with others: Collaboration can help you access new resources and ideas. Seek out others who share your goals and work together to create change.

5. Practice gratitude: Gratitude can help shift your focus from what you don't have to what you do have. By focusing on what you have, you can feel more empowered to create change with the resources available to you.

6. Remember, changing an adverse mentality takes time and effort, AND with persistence and a focus on what's possible, you will begin to create change.

7. Describe the “challenging emotion” you're feeling about change and use it for FUEL to catapult you in a forward motion. Think of it as if you're pulling back on your bow and arrow, just as you are about to FLING that arrow out into your target we must pull back to give it the force it needs to take flight.

 

You must act on your own life, as your own creator. 

 

Because repetition and consistency are key in making a shift. Allow me to repeat a few affirmations I shared before that you may need to hear again…

We have more strength inside of us than we believe. 

 

If you can conceive it, you can achieve it. 

 

Just understand “if it is to be, it will be up to thee” to make it come to life.

 

It won't always be easy, aaaaaaaand thats ok…. it will be worth it!
